Attractive renovated farmhouse in Sag Harbor sells for $2.9M

It was first asking $ 4.25M when it came on the market

The recently renovated and expanded house at 425 Brick Kiln Road in Sag Harbor has just sold for $ 2.9 million.

According to the Zillow price history, the handsome modern farmhouse-style home first came on the market in February of 2017 for $ 4.25 million, but over the next almost two years the price steadily came down. When a contract was signed at the end of November 2018, the property was listed for $ 3.25 million. Zillow estimates that the Brick Kiln Road house is valued at around $ 3.4 million.

In 2016, the 1.3-acre property sold for $ 850,000.

Inside almost 6,000 square feet, there are four bedrooms and five bathrooms, a double-height entry, an open floorplan, a fireplace in the living room, and a large kitchen with professional stainless steel appliances. The finished lower level features a sauna, a steam room, and French doors that lead out to the exterior living space, where one will find a heated gunite infinity edge pool and a full outdoor kitchen. There’s also a two-car garage and lots of patio space for dining and entertaining.

Residents will be about 3 miles from both Sag Harbor and Bridgehampton villages.

Compass real estate agent Kathleen Zappola represented the sellers.

If the Zillow estimate is correct, then the buyers got a good deal on this like-new house. But what do our readers think? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
